The Confirmation class is designed to teach the Christian faith to our middle school students as they grow closer to adulthood, and high school students are always welcome to join. At New Song, we take a holistic approach to faith formation by exploring Scripture, Luther’s Small Catechism, and incorporating learning beyond the classroom. Our focus is on three key areas: Learning (exploring faith and faith life), Serving (volunteering in the church and community), and Socializing (building friendships and fellowship through events, games, and activities). Generally, students are confirmed in May as they enter the 9th grade.

ANSYG is a midweek gathering for middle and high school students to grow in faith, serve, and build community. Each Wednesday, students will unite for Worship (the joy of music and prayer), Bible Teaching (bringing scripture to life in everyday situations), and Serving (actively contributing to the Church and caring for others). As they deepen their faith, students are encouraged to step into leadership roles by serving at summer camp, in Sunday School, and throughout the life of the church.

The NextGen Ministry Team consists of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about children, youth, and families. Our mission is to connect them to God, to One Another, and the Community. We aim to create a ministry environment where children, youth, and families feel known, supported, and able to grow in faith together. Our team plays a vital role in shaping the faith and community of the next generation through Sunday services, midweek gatherings, and special events. You don’t need to have all the answers; a willing heart to show up, care, and be part of something meaningful is all that’s required.
