Making Children’s Chemo Bag Covers with Women’s Ministry – 9:30am
On Saturday, September 7th from 9:30 am – 2:00 pm we will be making fabric 9” X 12” chemotherapy bag covers for Sunrise Children’s Hospital. Aside from sewers, we need people who can iron, measure, and cut fabric. We hope to make 75 covers. The purpose of the covers is to keep the yucky chemo on an IV pole covered from scared little eyes (as well as the scared eyes of the parents). We make them in fun cotton fabrics, children themed, that distract from the treatment.
Equipment you can bring: irons, ironing boards, sewing machines, rotary cutters and mats, scissors, and rulers.
Lunch will be served so you can stay for the duration or drop in at any time for as long as you can stay. Last year we had men and older kids at the event as well! Please consider donating a bit of time to this event. There is a sign-up sheet on the counter as you walk into church.
